Sarah Mullens

Winner of the 2025 Mayday Creative Nonfiction prize, Sarah Mullens’ essays have appeared in Oxford American, The Missouri Review, LitHub, and elsewhere. She is currently a Hammond-Schwartz Fellow at Colorado State University and associate editor of Colorado Review. Her work has received support from the Bread Loaf Writers Conference and Virginia Center for Creative Arts. A sixth-generation West Virginian, she splits her time between Putnam County and Colorado's Front Range.
